Solution Focused conversations with parents
Workshop Resources
PRO-TIP
Podcasts can easily be shared!
As solution-focused educators, we believe that people have within them all they need to create an amazing future for their families. All the wonderfulness is just waiting to be unlocked! But have you ever wondered what you can do to help parents be more solution-focused? Less talk and more action is the answer. Sharing a podcast is a powerful way to meet a parent where they are at. Listening allows them to coach themself by listening to episodes in their own time and at their own pace. You can recommend an episode by sharing it
In An Email
On social media,
Class dojo,
Google Classrooms,
In A Presentation
In A Text
After they listen to one, they may continue to listen and find themself being more solution-focused in their own life.
You can be the expert without saying much at all. Just offer help by saying, “I have a podcast episode I’d love to send you that may help.” To share a podcast simply click the share button found on each episode home page, or cut and paste the URL. Add it to an email or include it in a presentation. I give you permission to use any episode to help you serve your community. Topics include:
Solution Focused discipline: episodes 23, 22, 62, 32, 3, 11
